Atkins is well-known for it’s engineering advisory services. It also has a significant ICT and management consultancy business.
The UK government through ‘Buying Solutions’ launched a new procurement framework (RM662). Atkins identified up to four ‘lots’ it would target on this framework. Failure meant potentially being locked out of new government department ICT and management consultancy contracts for several years.
The procurement process required typing heavily wordcount-constrained responses to challenging questions into a text-only electronic form.
We worked intensively with Atkins to draft hard-working and specific responses to every question – with a goal of Atkins being successful on at least one ‘lot’. In fact Atkins was successful in securing places on all four lots of this government framework.
