Propozition authoring methods and document templates deliver success for Vinci

Propozition authoring methods and document templates deliver success for Vinci

Vinci bids teams faced a challenge that many teams will recognise:  the need for multiple authors to produce compelling and consistently-presented bid responses in tight timeframes.

We responded with a twin track approach:

  1. We trained their technical authors, bid managers and editors in simple techniques they could immediately deploy. The goal was to make it easier for the client to award high marks to Vinci’s bids.
  2. We took their corporate look and feel and converted this into smart Microsoft Word templates which, through one-click formatting, actively encouraged the use of compelling writing methods.

This dual approach equipped authors with powerful and practical techniques and made it really easy to apply them early in the bid writing process.  In turn, this freed up time tradtionally used for ‘final formatting’ to improve the core quality of the submission.

The ‘smart’ document templates and writing techniques that Propozition trained us in two years ago are still delivering value for us today.

We just won a £190m project where the client expressly thanked us for well-summarised proposal documents that they found easy to assess.  We can trace part of this most recent win back to the very first piece of work Propozition did for us.
