Propozition helps SP+ consortium win 1,200 home Pendleton Housing PFI

Another new client; another win – on their first ever PFI bid.

The SP+ consortium was officially confirmed today as preferred bidder on the  housing regeneration PFI scheme at Pendleton for Salford Council (in the UK).

This marks the successful outcome to a marathon 15 month engagement – our first for the lead organisation within SP+, Chevin Housing Association, now part of the Together Housing group.  The consortium includes Keepmoat, Bramall Construction and Latham Architects and PKF.

What’s especially rewarding is this is our fifth straight client win in a row since the start of the year.

Our responsibilities included:

  • Articulating the value that the SP+ solution would offer the people of Pendleton and Salford Council
  • Distilling the entire solution into three compelling themes that would consistently underpin every aspect of the bid submission and presentation
  • Producing a compelling executive summary along with other key documents
  • Making every submission response clear and focused
  • Preparing the final presentation and coaching the presenters
  • Producing a short video that captured the spirit as well as the key components of the offer

It was our design champion, Latham Architects, that strongly recommended to me that we engage Propozition, as the former had benefited from latter’s contribution to a successful BSF consortium bid.

I admit, we were all a little unsure whether making an investment in Propozition’s services would be worthwhile.  However, it soon became clear that Propozition was bringing real value to our bid.

Propozition quickly built a strong rapport with my team and worked tirelessly to make our solution clear, concise and consistent – and that’s no mean task with a bid of this scale.

Through competitive dialogue, everyone could see a noticeable step up in the quality of our submission once Propozition were on-board.

Critically, I knew I could absolutely rely on them to translate our thinking into strong, clear messages which ultimately gave Salford City Council the confidence to choose us on this key project for us.

Propozition became a vital part of the bid team – I just don’t think we could have won this without them.
