Propozition helps Hitachi secure £8bn Intercity Express Programme PPP

The UK Department for Transport procurement process for such a high-value project resulted in thousands of pages of technical bid submission.

To win, it was vital that we identified and isolated the differentiating key messages and made sure that the bidder delivered these to the senior decision makers through the executive summary and main presentation to DfT officials.

We worked with Hitachi Rail, John Laing, Barclays and other consortium partners (together: Agility Trains) to tease out the key messages and to turn complex technical proposals into clear benefits to the passenger, train-operating company, government and the wider economy.

We wrote and produced a plain-speaking executive summary and a carefully-structured presentation that incorporated a number of video elements including some video testimonials comissioned, filmed and edited within 48 hours.

We weren’t surprised when we won because of the quality of the message we communicated.

Propozition made a big contribution to our bid.
