Propozition helps ambitious FM company land largest contract yet

Servest, a rapidly-growing Facilities Management provider had an opportunity to bid for a very substantial and nationwide soft-services contract for one of the UK’s most respected companies.

Andrew Sugars, Servest’s recently hired Group Corporate Development Director stumbled across Propozition when searching the internet and got in touch.

Although this potential contract was of great strategic importance to Servest, the opportunity and indeed the Servest business were both somewhat smaller than would normally attract our attention.

However Andrew was persuasive and was not going to take no for an answer.  We agreed a short but intense engagement to help shape this specific tender submission.

Applying the well-proven approach we share through our bid-writing training:

  • putting the response firmly in the context of specific client need
  • having a clear, persuasive structure
  • making the document come to life and be easy to evaluate

…Servest, embraced every single piece of best practice we could offer and applied it to this bid with a conviction we’d never seen before.

It worked.

The bid was unrecognisably better than anything Servest had produced before and proved to be significantly more compelling than their rivals’ bids (many of them from much larger FM companies).

Propozition has quite simply transformed the way we write tenders – starting with this fantastic win for us.

We’ve seen firsthand and first time around the difference that a fresh and rigorous approach to proposal-writing can make. 

We’re an ambitious company and we will never go back to the generic and often tedious content it is too easy for an FM company to fall back on.

Our bid submission really set us apart from the competition – in a good way –  and our next step is to roll out Propozition’s bid writing training to a wider group so it simply becomes the way we win contracts every time.
