Propozition helps Acorn consortium win £237m Alder Hey Children’s Hospital PFI

Propozition helps Acorn consortium win £237m Alder Hey Children’s Hospital PFI

It’s official – the Acorn consortium (including John Laing, Laing O’Rourke, Interserve and BDP) has been appointed preferred bidder on the £237m Alder Hey Children’s Hospital PFI project in Liverpool, UK.

I appointed Propozition to bring even greater clarity to our proposals.

Hospital PFI submissions are by their nature big and complex.  We knew we had a genuinely iconic design.  Propozition helped us to crystallise the value of not only the design concept but also the clinical effectiveness that underpinned it.

They helped us break a complex story down into bite-sized chunks that we could use to engage the wide range of client stakeholders who would ultimately determine our appointment.

We had formidable competition on this bid and I’m thrilled we won.  I can say that Propozition’s involvement helped give us a winning edge, adding to the tally of five out of six hospital PFIs we’ve won working with Propozition over the last nine years.

Propozition had an instinctive grasp of what our concept was trying to do, how to coax out of us all the benefits our design would deliver our and how to convey our solution in really simple and engaging ways.

They were incredibly committed to helping us win and I have no doubt that Propozition made a material contribution to our success.
