02 Dec Propozition helps 7C crystalise their business proposition to support acquisition by Vertex
7C, the privately-owned outsourcing specialist had built a successful business serving customers such as Cisco, Virgin Trains and, most-recently, Lastminute.com.
To support their expansion and also to maximise their attractiveness to potential trade buyer, Vertex (the customer outsourcing division of United Utilities), it was important to address the issue that:
there was no single, coherent or customer-tested articulation of what 7C actually did.
The 7C executive team commissioned us to independently build, test and recommend a clear value proposition for the business that they could take to potential customers and to support their potential acquisition.
We conducted internal research, undertook a competitive analysis, taking input from their businesses across the UK, Italy and India. We tested components of potential propositions with 7C’s key customers and partners like IBM Global Services.
The final output was a detailed debrief and recommendations to the 7C board – which they embraced and used to maximise their value in negotiations with Vertex, whose acquisition of the 7C business followed soon after.
